WhatsOnStage Awards

Ieri sera si è svolta al Prince of Wales Theatre la cerimonia della consegna dei WhatsOnStage Award, l'unico premio londinese ad essere votato dal pubblico e non dalla critica. Giunto alla sua sedicesima edizione, i WhatsOnStage Award di quest'anno hanno premiato le eccellenze del teatro inglese e le sue stelle più scintillanti. Tra le dozzine di candidati, tre spettacoli hanno brillanto più di tutti: l'Amleto con Benedict Cumberbatch e i musical Kinky Boots e Gypsy.

Il giovane Alex Parker (Kings of Broadway) ha diretto l'orchestra dal vivo che ha accompagnato la cerimonia e con cui si sono esibiti diversi artisti nel corso della serata, tra cui Janie Dee (Hand to God), Nadim Naaman (Kings of Broadway), il cast di Les Misérables e Jenna Russell, che ha cantato il suo cavallo di battaglia dalla produzione recentemente conclusasi di Grey Gardens.
